Somehow, it’s quite an irony that ‘natural look’ is among today’s trends to permeate the world of cosmetics. Come to think of it, ‘natural’ signifies ‘bare’ – without makeup. Thus, it is only logical for one to ask what need it is spending money in order to appear how we were originally created. Some people would put the question straight, ‘what is the essence of makeup then?’
Isn’t it amusing how we drift so quickly to trends? With those lip-gloss on our lips and curl of an eyelash, it’s so easy to forget our exact look before making up. As you cake on the shadow, liner and gloss, it’s easy not to remember what ‘natural beauty’ actually appears like.
Taking this into consideration, it’s quite an irony and also amazing that the most recent trend to enter the world of beauty advices us to use makeup that produces a more natural look. It’s even more amazing how an increasing number of celebrities is trading their conventional beauty regimen for the camera in-between – in such a way that really appears public. Perhaps you’ve not bothered to check the newsstands recently; if so, you probably had not taken note of the recent trend in cover girls – stunning celebrities who do not mind showing all just to reveal the real looks outside of makeup.
Normally, celebrities would not want to pose for this sort of non glamorous shots; however, a lot of them are now opting to look natural – without makeup. It hasn’t yet escaped my memory how it was the vogue for cover girls to apply makeup lavishly. However, it seems to be an old-fashion thing now – what you see these days over the newsstands is makeup-free faces – the cover girls are now wearing natural looks.
Now, here’s the question; what’s the significance of this new trend, at least for beauty achievement in the future? Another critical question is this; what has the natural makeup got to do with the latest trend of ‘bare face’ (without makeup) that is now popular among celebs?
If you are the fashion addicts, it’s possible you must have heard this phrase in different ways; good economy causes the hems of skirts to go up, while the sour economy makes the skirt hem to come down. In essence, it appears as though the economic state has a way of dictating the turn of events in the fashion world. Is it really so?
