Crossing the Line

Men will go to great lengths to own a branded watch, and they feel that wearing a Rolex or Cartier is a statement of their position in society and success. The passion for expensive watches can be related to the lack of alternatives to express themselves through jewelry, something that women are not shy of. This brings us to a subject that is highly debated these days and revolves around the way jewelry look on men and whether this ornaments upgrade them or renders them silly.

LarimarMany consider that the wedding band is more than enough and any other ring should be considered excessive, crossing the border from style to opulence. These guys are not fans of bracelets and necklaces, but they consider them acceptable for a man to wear either of these, but they would never agree for earrings. The truth is that if you as a man go that far as wearing earrings, there is a good chance that you won’t inspire the same respect and seriousness.

Others violently oppose these formal restrictions and state that there’s nothing wrong with men wearing jewels, and they wouldn’t have anything against an elegant larimar ring, for example. They consider that each man has his own style, and if he limits himself to a few stylish jewelry, he will enhance his look without hurting his image at all. Pretty much everyone agrees, except the ones wearing them of course, that covering yourself in chunky bracelets and necklaces, several rings and topping it all with earrings is downgrading you to be pathetic.
